Dear Sponsors;
We want to share this newsletter with you called "Spare Time". Hope you will enjoy and please pray for the youth that are in the picture. We have their names so you can pray for them and for all of our Satellite Youth Groups.
As many of you know we are fund raising for a new Truck. Our Old Dodge Ram (of twenty years old) that Glenda and I donated to the ministry back in 2004 has pretty much died. It runs but only in the city and only for a short time, then it would shut off. This is a HUGE HEADACHE when trying to run a ministry that depends on these four wheels.
These last few weeks I have been praying for the funds that are needed for a pick up truck, but was left after praying with a disturbance in my soul. Something was not right and something was not in check with God. So, I kept my heart open to the Lord and His leading in this pursuit of a truck. God knows we do need a truck to haul construction materials, to haul luggage for our teams, to haul youth around on Saturdays and for our Comayagua trips. Also, I have been praying for a trailer to tow behind the truck for the Medical Team Equipment. Our Medical team equipment would fill our Dodge Ram and more. Many times we would need to make many trip with our old truck.
For a week I have been passing by Utility Trucks. My heart lead me to investigate about them. They are very basic which is perfect for us. It holds 3 passengers, but the payload is 11'x5' and it can haul up to 6,000lbs. This is perfect for our Medical Team and for all our needs. Then I thought, will it fit in our garage? We measured and it fits perfectly.
So, we met with the Sales Rep for Hyundai Trucks such as this. And he quoted us $23,000 for the truck. This is a far cry from the $40,000 we first budgeted for a truck. Plus this Hyundai could haul all of our Medical Team equipment one time. This truck can cut our costs by eliminating delivery charges for cement, lumber and rebar. Which is a huge savings per team/per year which we can put into the project.
This is where we need your help:
We have fund raised so far $16,685.00 to date!!! Praise God for all those who have blessed us with this huge advancement towards this truck.
We only need $6,315.00 to reach our Goal. Our Helping Hands volunteers have been working very hard in programing fund raising events so we can reach our goal. Just like our past Luncheon.
Please pray about this and ask your churches if they can come in and help towards this much needed truck that will serve God's Kingdom and the people of Honduras.
We are attaching a photo of the truck we are looking into.
Many Blessings,
Michael and Glenda Miller
