The first team we received in the beginning of May was team #49.
Hello Sponsors, a lot has happened since my last blog post. We have received three teams and God blessed the squatters in Comaygua through the donations brought down by the teams and also through the Holy Spirit during a tent revival. The first team we received in the beginning of May was team #49. Team #49 made a lot of rings for different rebar cages for columns and beams. With the help of the team, Michael and Juan were able to lay around 1,500 block. The team also brought down kids' shoes to hand out in Comayagua. Which was a huge blessing for the children there. Team #50 came down in the end of May. They made a video of what they did. Team #51 came down in June. They helped form up the beams on top of the block. After the beams were formed up, we were able to pour them. The team also went out to Comayagua where we put on a tent revival. I played guitar and we did some worship. After worship, Brad Hinman the team leader got up and gave an encouraging word. Michael then got up and gave an powerful preaching. You could feel the Holy Spirit during the whole service. When Michael was done preaching, he invited anyone who wanted to receive Christ as their Savior to step forward and over 20 people came forward. He then invited anyone who wanted healing to come forth. Many people came and in the Name of Jesus were healed from various sicknesses and injuries. One lady had an injured ankle and after she was healed she was so thankful that she ran home and brought back mangos for the team. The Lord's presence was very strong and everyone walked away with a touch from the Spirit. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers and please continue to do so. We are getting ready for another team that is coming this Friday.

The following are updates that Michael Miller sent out. Enjoy! Please keep the ministry in prayer as we get ready to receive two teams in May. Blessings, Ben As a side note you will be seeing a change with BBM.
We have change our Logo as seen in the attachment. We are in the process in changing our brochures, our web-site, and so much more. We know this will make the ministry look cleaner and more professional and help all of you as sponsors of this ministry. Blessings, Michael and Glenda Miller Missionaries for Border Buddies Ministries Inc. Tegucigalpa, Honduras www.borderbuddies.org Hello Sponsors, things have been going well here. Work at the school began near the end of February and progress is being made. With the half of the project that is being worked on right now, the walls are leveled and footers are being dug. The other half which we work on last year is ready to have the floor poured. In the picture below, you can see where the columns in the walls will go. We are looking for more sponsors to sponsor children. We only need a couple more to reach 300 sponsored kids again. Please help a child in Honduras have a brighter future by sponsoring a child. If you feel led to sponsor a child, here is the form that you can fill out and send into the Border Buddies P.O. box. www.borderbuddies.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/2018-Sponsor-Form-NEW-CHILD.pdf Please pray for us as we get ready to receive two teams in May. Here are some updates from Michael Miller: Dear Sponsors, I hope that everything is going well in the States. Some great things have been going on with the youth groups, sponsorship program, and Comayagua. Here is an update from Michael Miller on what has been happening: Hello Sponsors; Glenda and I just wanted to update all of you in how the ministry is doing and all that we have been up to since our return to Honduras. Contracts are signed and all 295 sponsored students are in school. We have purchased all of the school supplies, shoes and sneakers, and uniforms. It is unbelievable we are ahead of schedule. Which is good for us because we are back to work with our youth groups and working at the Junior/Senior High School with Juan de Dios and our team. Our Satellite youth groups are growing in #'s and spiritually. We are so proud of Carlos for leading these two groups. Our main youth group has lost some of our youth. Reason being is that many are now older in age and it is time for them to move on because some are married and have children, some of them have jobs and they are working nights and weekends, and some are studying nights in the University for furthering their education. We are proud of all of them and know this is apart of the growth process. Yesterday we were in Comayagua with the Squatters project and it is no more that name. It is called the Colonia 25 de Octubre. The people have WON their properties and their rights. They are having their lands surveyed by the government and a main road has been bulldozed. However the poverty still exists. They are in need of wells, solar pumps to pump up the water and irrigate the land for a 3 season a year crop. This will help feed the people off their own land. The youth group with their own tithe purchased school supplies and made 200 packets to make sure the children can study. Our youth donated $500 from their tithe and offerings to make this happen and the children were so happy to receive these packets. Many told our youth that they were not doing homework because they didn't have a pen or a notebook to write in. They do now!!! Our Home Church plants are growing and they are hungry for the Word of God. It was a very encouraging day for everyone. The photos we are sending are example of the long lines our sponsored children have to wait in just to receive the letters they need to go and put on lay-away shoes, sneakers and uniforms. This is a two day process. From 1pm to 5pm Prayer Requests:

Michael and Glenda Miller Missionaries for Border Buddies Ministries Inc. Tegucigalpa, Honduras CA Dear Sponsors, since the last time I updated my blog we have hosted three teams. Team #44 from Penn. Ave UMC and #45 and #46 from Victory Highway. All three teams worked hard and made good progress on the school. Also, all three experienced God in different ways. This is Team #44: They worked hard in painting and taking off the roof, ceiling and gable ends. They also distributed solar lights to the squatters' community in Comayagua. These lights are charged during the day and when fully charged can give up to ten hours of light. This is Team #45 from Victory Highway. They made a lot of rebar cages, they painted, and they removed two dump truck loads of dirt from the work site. Then it came time for Comayagua, the team took food out to give to the people. They brought rice, beans, spaghetti, coffee, tomato sauce, flour, and sugar. It was a huge help to the people and they greatly appreciated it. This is Team #46 from Victory Highway. They built more rebar cages, painted, loaded dump trucks full of dirt, and poured a couple columns. This team also took rice and beans out to Comayagua. The Lord was working, and on the last day before the team left for the airport, one of the young men on team accepted Christ with Michael. We just said goodbye to Team #47. They were a small team of four but we had a lot of fun. They bent rebar rings, made cages, and helped cut wood which Mike and I used to form up some of the beam. The construction teams have been awesome this year and it is amazing to see God work in each and every person's life differently.
Please be praying for the medical mission team which is coming on October 12th through the 22nd. We are still looking for doctors to join us. Dear Sponsors, we hosted mission team #42 last month. The team was from Elmira College and consisted of nine young ladies and one young man. They arrived on April 13th and flew out on April 23rd for a total of ten days with us. This team sanded the walls inside and outside of the classrooms that we are working on. They also sanded the drywall. When they were finished sanding, they started painting the walls. They primed the walls first and then started putting the color on. Not only did they work hard but God worked among them. One of the nights after devotion time, half of the team accepted Christ as their Savior with Michael. Still another night, after devotion there was a time of healing where everyone poured their souls out about what was happening in their lives. God was also working in other ways. Michael and Glenda went to visit the aunt of Aracely (Aracely works for Border Buddies) who was in her house and wasn't doing well healthwise. A bunch of churches and brothers in the faith had gone and tried to evangelize her but she didn't want to accept Jesus. Michael and Glenda went and God used them to bring her to Christ that day. Not only that, but from that day forward her health began to get better. Of the five team members that accepted Christ, two of the them wanted to be baptized. On Saturday morning, the day before they flew home, we went to the river and Michael baptized them in the water there. We will be receiving another team this month. Please keep us in your prayers.
Please pray for my residency as it has been almost a year and it still hasn't gone through yet. Also please pray that Michael will be able to get his heavy vehicle license so he can drive the new van. Hello Sponsors, things have been interesting lately. From all of the donations collected for the van, Michael was able to buy a very nice, very large Ford Van. Thank you for all who contributed to the van. It is a huge blessing. Michael sent out a newsletter on it which you can see here: In Comayagua, on March 22nd, people came in with bulldozers and bulldozed the houses of the people in the squatters' community that we have been ministering to. The people there said it was motivated by a group of people that want their land so they can build hotels, malls, and apartments. It turned out to be different than the times in the past that these people's houses had been destroyed because this time the bulldozers only destroyed the houses. In times past, the bulldozers went back and forth and plowed up everything including: houses, wells, trees, and crops. But the Lord was watching out for them this time. The trees that we gave them in the Name of Jesus were not destroyed as well as the filters and all the other blessings that God provided for them all survived. It was a terrible sight to see all of the houses knocked down but there was still hope to be had from seeing the trees standing and the faith of the people that were still there. Many of them had already started to build their houses again. The Sunday that we got there and saw the destruction, Mike drove around to see the conditions that they were in and what they needed most. The people told him food. So we went to the store and we bought food for 120 families. Mike bought rice, beans, coffee, soup, flour, lard, tomato sauce, and spaghetti. We went back to the community and passed it all out. It was received by many grateful people. The following Friday, Mike bought hammers and nails to hand out to the people many of which who were still building their homes at that point. Please pray for us as we are going to receive our first team of the year on Thursday, April 13th. Also, pray for the people in Comayagua.
